Welcome to our Home Away from Home
My late husband and I fell in love with the Turks & Caicos in the 1970's.
First we came with our kids, then they came with theirs....and we've just added a third generation that will hopefully carry on the tradition here at Belle Roche. We're a very hands-on family who have all taken an active role in making this a true second home for us and our guests. The house was designed a built by my son, the architect. My husband, an avid gardener transformed the grounds into a Garden of Eden, complete with tropical blooms and fruiting trees. My daughter carries on the gardening tradition, expanding the garden and landscaping. It's provided us with years of joy and peace which we would love to share with you.
North Caicos, with a total poplation of about 1,400 people, has a warm and friendly small town atmosphere. Most people live in one of the main settlements: Bottle Creek Village, Whitby, Kew and Sandy Point. The island is located 12 mi. northeast of Providencialesand is easily accessible by a 1/2 hr. ferry ride. North Caicos is a natural paradise, with lots of beautiful, unspoiled beaches and abundant bird life, including the largest flock of flamingos in the Turks & Caicos. If birds aren't your thing, you can visit the ruins of an 18th Century plantation, or check out Cottage Pond a landlocked entrance to one of the Turks & Caicos famous "blue holes".
Our location near the small North-Middle Caicos Causeway also allows for easy access to Middle Caicos and some of the best caving in the Turks and Caicos. Chonch Bar Cave and Indian Cave are both definitely worth a visit. And when you're done, stop for a dip at Mudjin Harbour, one of the most beautiful and dramatic beaches in the Turks & Caicos....only about 6 1/2 mi. from Belle Roche.
