Late-night sweet tooth solved! 🍦✨

We made a quick pit stop at Market Village Mall last night and decided to treat ourselves to a medium Caramel Almond Blizzard at Dairy Queen.

The mind-blowing part? It was only 59 Baht!

To put that into perspective for everyone back in the US, that is less than $1.80 USD for a medium Blizzard. Back in the States, a medium runs around $5.00 to $6.00 easily. You can't even get a fast-food coffee for under two bucks anymore! Needless to say, DQ hits a little different over here. 🤤

Yes, we are still alive, just slowly adjusting to the new time zone! 😴✈️

After all the rushing, moving, selling, giving away, and total hustle and bustle of the American way over the past 3 months, we just desperately needed a break. 3 days seemed completely appropriate... except for the fact that we are all still waking up wide awake at 3:00 AM here instead of 7:00 AM! But hey, we will get there eventually.

We will update you all shortly on our daily items and what we have spent so far. (Vanna does not want me to tell… wonder why! 😉 lol).

Anyway, as a quick teaser, here is a funny one for you. We went to Makro (the local Thai equivalent of Sam’s Club) to stock up on essentials. I was craving real butter, none of that fake stuff, and spotted this nice box of butter. Considering it weighed almost 5 pounds, I naturally assumed it was split into individual sticks like back home.

We got back to the house, opened it up, and... nope! It is just one giant, massive block of butter. 🧈😂

- The good news? It was way cheaper than I expected and tastes amazing!
- The bad news? It takes up half of our tiny fridge... we might need our old fridge back, Shay Phillips and Caleb Phillips! 📱

We have landed safe and sound in Bangkok! The long journey across the globe is officially behind us, and we are currently sitting in our transfer van, watching the landscape roll by as we head straight to our new home in Hua Hin.

Words cannot fully express how thankful we are for this moment. God has blessed our family beyond measure to bring us safely to this new land, and as we begin this next chapter, our heart and prayer is to take every opportunity to bless others in return. The adventure has officially begun! ✈️🇹🇭🏡

We have safely arrived in Abu Dhabi after a very long flight, and we are currently sitting back and enjoying the beautiful view! We have a short layover here before we board our next flight to Bangkok, and the excitement is definitely building!

The kids did absolutely amazing during the journey, well, other than the Great M&M Debacle of 2026. A small bag of M&Ms was opened just a little too enthusiastically, sending colorful candy coated chocolates flying in every direction imaginable. We were still finding them hours later, including one rogue M&M sitting all the way up at the very front of the plane as we were stepping off!

Next stop: Bangkok! ✈️🇹🇭🍫

Saying our farewells for now... We just got dropped off at the airport and headed straight to security. Security took only 10 minutes! It was the best experience we have ever had! Good job, IAD!
Thank you, Denny and Timmy, for all you have helped us do, all the running, calling, and just being there for us. You are now part of the East family, and we will have your room ready when you come to Thailand soon! 😊✈️🇹🇭

Official update: We have checked out of the hotel in Washington, D.C. and are on our way to Dulles International Airport (IAD). Then we will be in the terminal waiting to board our flight and kick off this brand-new chapter! Next stop: our new life. ✈️🧳
