Kyoto is always busy with tourists, but if you have a little bit of patience, and go out during dinner time - it is beautifully quiet and peaceful, especially in winter time.

One of the biggest adventures we had was taking a 24 hr ferry boat (through post-typhoon seas) to Ogasawarra, with 3 kids under 5.

Amazing memories, and definitely the most remote place we've ever visited (that you can't get to by airplane).

I remember the vastness, the overwhelming nature, the friendliest people, and the best fresh food.

Would love to go back one day with the kids now that they're older.

I love staying in beautiful hotels where they serve me water at the pool with pink flowers 🥰 To me, it is definitely worth spoiling ourselves by staying in great places when travelling.
