🇹🇭 แยมสังเกตว่า…
บางครั้ง เด็กไม่ได้เปลี่ยน “ตอนอยู่ค่าย”

แต่จะเริ่มเปลี่ยน
หลังจากกลับบ้านไปแล้ว

บางคนกลับไปแล้ว
เริ่มกล้าทำอะไรเองมากขึ้น

บางคนเริ่มเปิดใจคุยกับพ่อแม่มากขึ้น

บางคนดูมั่นใจขึ้นแบบเงียบๆ
จนคนรอบตัวเริ่มสังเกตได้เอง

และแยมคิดว่า
นั่นอาจเป็นเพราะ…

ค่ายที่ดี
ไม่ได้แค่ให้ “ความทรงจำ”

แต่มันให้ประสบการณ์
ที่ค่อยๆ ตกผลึกอยู่ข้างใน

เด็กบางคนอาจยังไม่เข้าใจทันที
ว่าตัวเองได้เรียนรู้อะไร

แต่วันหนึ่ง
เขาจะย้อนกลับมารู้ว่า

ช่วงเวลาสั้นๆ เหล่านั้น
ได้เปลี่ยนบางอย่างในตัวเขาไปแล้ว

เพราะ “ค่ายที่ไม่ใช่แค่ทริป…แต่มันเปลี่ยนชีวิตคุณได้จริง”

One thing I have noticed is this—

Sometimes children do not change
while they are at camp.

The change begins after they return home.

Some become more independent.

Some begin opening up to their parents more naturally.

Some grow quietly more confident,
until the people around them begin noticing it too.

And perhaps that is because
a good camp does not simply create memories.

It creates experiences
that slowly settle and grow within them.

Children may not immediately understand
what they have learned.

But one day,
they may realise that those short moments
quietly changed something inside them.

Because it is not just a trip.

🇹🇭 หลายคนอาจคิดว่า
การจัดค่าย…คือการเลือกสถานที่สวยๆ
แล้วพาเด็กไปทำกิจกรรม

แต่จริงๆ แล้ว
เบื้องหลังของค่ายหนึ่งค่าย
มีรายละเอียดเล็กๆ ที่แยมคิดเยอะมาก

ตั้งแต่…

เด็กจะเหนื่อยเกินไปไหม
ควรมีช่วงเงียบๆ ให้พักหรือเปล่า
กิจกรรมไหนช่วยให้เด็กเปิดใจเข้าหากันง่ายขึ้น
หรือแม้แต่
ช่วงเวลาไหนเหมาะกับการคุยเรื่องสำคัญกับเด็กที่สุด

บางอย่างอาจดูเล็กมาก
แต่สำหรับแยม
รายละเอียดเล็กๆ เหล่านี้
คือสิ่งที่ทำให้ “ประสบการณ์” แตกต่างกัน

เพราะค่ายที่ดี
ไม่ใช่แค่การพาเด็กไปหลายที่

แต่คือการออกแบบ
ให้เด็ก “ค่อยๆ เติบโต”
โดยที่บางที…เขาอาจไม่รู้ตัวด้วยซ้ำ

Many people think organising a camp
is simply about choosing beautiful places
and planning activities.

But in reality,
there are countless small details
I think carefully about behind every camp.

For example—

Will the children become too tired?
Should there be quiet moments to rest?
Which activities help children open up to one another more naturally?
Even something as simple as
what time of day is best for meaningful conversations.

Some of these details may seem very small.

But to me,
they are what make an experience truly different.

Because a good camp
is not simply about taking children to many places.

It is about designing an environment
where they gradually grow—
sometimes without even realising it themselves.

Because I don’t just take kids to camp.
I take them to grow.

🇹🇭 แยมคิดว่า…
สิ่งที่สำคัญที่สุดในค่าย
อาจไม่ใช่สถานที่ หรือกิจกรรม

แต่อาจเป็น “คนที่อยู่กับเด็ก”

เพราะเด็กบางคน
ไม่ได้ต้องการคนที่เก่งที่สุด

แต่ต้องการคนที่
สังเกตเห็นว่าเขาเงียบผิดปกติ
รู้ว่าเขาคิดถึงบ้าน
หรือรู้ว่าเขากำลังพยายามอยู่

สำหรับแยมและโจ
การเป็น Camp Leaders
ไม่ใช่แค่การพาเด็กทำกิจกรรม

แต่มันคือการดูแล
ทั้งความปลอดภัย ความรู้สึก
และประสบการณ์เล็กๆ ที่อาจอยู่กับเขาไปอีกนาน

บางที
เด็กอาจลืมว่าเล่นอะไรในวันนั้น

แต่เขาจะจำได้ว่า
ตอนนั้นเขารู้สึกยังไง
และมีใครทำให้เขารู้สึกปลอดภัย

และนั่นอาจสำคัญที่สุดแล้ว

I believe the most important part of a camp

🇹🇭 สิ่งหนึ่งที่แยมคิดว่า
พ่อแม่หลายคน “อาจเข้าใจผิด” เกี่ยวกับค่าย

คือคิดว่า…

ค่ายที่ดี = ค่ายที่เด็กสนุกที่สุด

แต่จริงๆ แล้ว
“ความสนุก” เป็นแค่ส่วนหนึ่งเท่านั้น

ค่ายที่ดีจริงๆ
คือค่ายที่เด็กได้ลองทำสิ่งใหม่
ได้ฝึกดูแลตัวเอง
ได้เรียนรู้การอยู่ร่วมกับคนอื่น
และได้ค้นพบอะไรบางอย่างเกี่ยวกับตัวเอง

บางครั้ง
ช่วงเวลาที่เด็กเติบโตที่สุด
อาจไม่ใช่ตอนที่เขากำลังสนุก

แต่อาจเป็นตอนที่เขากำลัง
พยายามปรับตัว
แก้ปัญหา
หรือก้าวข้ามความกลัวเล็กๆ ของตัวเอง

แยมไม่ได้อยากให้เด็กกลับบ้านพร้อม “ความทรงจำที่ดี” เท่านั้น

แต่อยากให้เขากลับไป
พร้อมบางอย่างที่ติดตัวเขาไปได้อีกนาน

One thing I believe many parents misunderstand about camps
is this—

They think a good camp
is simply the one children enjoy the most.

But enjoyment is only one part of it.

A truly good camp
helps children try new things,
learn to take care of themselves,
live with others,
and discover something about who they are.

the moments when children grow the most
are not the moments when they are simply having fun.

They are the moments when they are
adjusting,
solving problems,
or overcoming small fears of their own.

I do not want children to come home
with only memories.

I want them to return

🇹🇭 ถ้าวันหนึ่ง…
แยมต้องส่งเฟย์ไปค่ายโดยไม่มีตัวเองไปด้วย

สิ่งแรกที่ดู
คงไม่ใช่ว่าโปรแกรม “แน่น” แค่ไหน

แต่คือ…

ลูกจะรู้สึกปลอดภัยไหม
จะมีคนคอยสังเกตเขาไหม
จะมีพื้นที่ให้เขาได้เป็นตัวเองไหม

เพราะสำหรับแยม
ค่ายที่ดี ไม่ใช่แค่ค่ายที่ “พาเด็กไปเที่ยว”

แต่คือค่ายที่ทำให้เด็ก
ค่อยๆ เติบโตขึ้นอย่างมั่นคง
ทั้งข้างนอก และข้างใน

และบางครั้ง
สิ่งที่เด็กจำได้ไปทั้งชีวิต
อาจไม่ใช่สถานที่

แต่อาจเป็น “ความรู้สึก”
ที่เขาเคยได้รับที่นั่น

I had to send Fey to camp without me there,

the first thing I would not look at
is how packed the programme is.

I would ask instead—

Will she feel safe?
Will someone truly notice her?
Will she have the space to be herself?

Because to me,
a good camp is not simply one that takes children travelling.

It is one that helps them
grow steadily and confidently—
both outwardly and inwardly.

And sometimes,
what children remember for the rest of their lives
is not the place itself,

but the feeling
they experienced there.

🇫🇮 แยมเคยเห็นเด็กหลายคน
ที่มาในวันแรก…ยังไม่เป็นตัวเอง

บางคนเงียบ
บางคนไม่กล้าเข้าหากลุ่ม
บางคนยังไม่รู้ว่าจะวางตัวยังไง

มันไม่ใช่เพราะเขา “ไม่เก่ง”
แต่เพราะเขายังไม่รู้สึก “ปลอดภัย”

แต่สิ่งที่น่าสนใจคือ…

พอผ่านไปไม่กี่วัน
เมื่อเขาเริ่มรู้สึกสบายใจมากขึ้น
เราเริ่มเห็นอีกด้านหนึ่งของเขา

เขาเริ่มพูด
เริ่มหัวเราะ
เริ่มกล้าลองสิ่งใหม่ๆ

และบางคน…
กลายเป็นคนที่เราแทบจำไม่ได้จากวันแรก

ไม่ใช่เพราะเขาเปลี่ยนไปเป็นคนอื่น
แต่เพราะเขา “ได้เป็นตัวเองมากขึ้น”

ค่ายที่ดี
ไม่ใช่การเปลี่ยนเด็กให้เป็นอะไรบางอย่าง

แต่เป็นการเปิดพื้นที่
ให้เขาได้ค้นพบว่าเขาเป็นใคร

เพราะ “แยมไม่ได้แค่พาไปค่าย…แยมพาเขาไปเติบโต”

I have seen many children
arrive on the first day… not quite themselves.

Some are quiet.
Some hesitate to join others.
Some are unsure how to fit in.

It is not because they are incapable—
but because they do not yet feel safe.

And that is what matters most.

Because after a few days,
when they begin to feel more comfortable,
something shifts.

They start speaking.
Laughing.
Trying new things.

And sometimes…
they become almost unrecognisable from day one.

Not because they have changed into someone else—
but because they have become more of who they are.

A good camp does not try to change a child
into something new.

It creates the space
for them to discover who they truly are.

Because I don’t just take kids to camp.

🇫🇮 ฟินแลนด์ไม่ได้ “พิเศษ” เพราะสวย
แต่พิเศษ…เพราะมันทำให้เด็ก “ได้เป็นตัวเอง”

ที่นี่ไม่มีเสียงวุ่นวาย
ไม่มีการแข่งขันตลอดเวลา
ไม่มีใครต้องรีบเก่งกว่าใคร

เด็กๆ มีพื้นที่
ที่จะคิด
ที่จะลอง
และที่จะเป็นตัวของตัวเองจริงๆ

จากประสบการณ์ที่ได้เดินทางมากกว่า 60 ประเทศ
ฟินแลนด์เป็นไม่กี่ที่

🇹🇭 พอมีลูก
แยมเข้าใจคำว่า “ความกลัวของพ่อแม่” มากขึ้นจริงๆ

เมื่อก่อนตอนจัดค่าย
แยมคิดถึงแต่ “ประสบการณ์ที่เด็กจะได้”

แต่วันนี้…แยมคิดเพิ่มอีกอย่างหนึ่งเสมอว่า
“ถ้าเป็นลูกเราเอง เราจะโอเคไหม?”

เขาจะปลอดภัยไหม
เขาจะมีความสุขไหม
เขาจะได้รับการดูแลจริงๆ ไหม

เพราะสุดท้ายแล้ว
การส่งลูกไปค่าย
ไม่ใช่แค่การเลือกโปรแกรม

แต่มันคือการ “ฝากช่วงเวลาสำคัญของลูก”
ไว้กับใครสักคน

และนั่นคือสิ่งที่แยมไม่เคยมองเบาเลย

เพราะแยมเองก็เป็นแม่คนหนึ่ง

และบางที
นั่นอาจเป็นเหตุผลที่แยมออกแบบค่ายแบบนี้

ไม่ใช่แค่ให้เด็กสนุก
แต่ให้พ่อแม่ “สบายใจ” ไปพร้อมกัน

Since becoming a mother,
I truly understand a parent’s fear.

Before, when I designed camps,
I focused on what children would experience.

But now, I always ask myself:
“If this were my own child, would I be comfortable?”

Will she be safe?
Will she be happy?
Will she truly be cared for?

Because sending a child to camp
is not just choosing a programme.

It is trusting someone
with an important part of their life.

And that is something
I never take lightly.

Because I am a mother too.

And perhaps…
that is why I design camps the way I do.

Not just for children to enjoy,
but for parents to feel at ease as well.

🇹🇭 สิ่งที่โรงเรียน “ให้ไม่ได้”…
อาจเป็นสิ่งที่สำคัญที่สุดในชีวิตลูกคุณ

แยมไม่ได้บอกว่าโรงเรียนไม่ดีนะคะ
แต่มีบางอย่างที่เด็กต้อง “ออกไปเจอเอง”

เช่น
การอยู่กับคนแปลกหน้า
การปรับตัวในสถานการณ์ใหม่
การแก้ปัญหาโดยไม่มีพ่อแม่อยู่ข้างๆ

สิ่งเหล่านี้
อาจไม่มีข้อสอบวัดผล
แต่เป็นสิ่งที่ใช้จริงในชีวิต

แยมเห็นสิ่งนี้มาตั้งแต่ตอนที่ตัวเองเป็นเด็กค่าย
และยังเห็นมันซ้ำแล้วซ้ำอีก
ในเด็กทุกคนที่ได้ออกไปเรียนรู้นอกห้องเรียน

ค่ายที่ดี
ไม่ใช่แค่ทำให้เด็ก “สนุก”
แต่ทำให้เขา “เติบโตจากข้างใน”

เพราะสุดท้ายแล้ว
สิ่งที่สำคัญไม่ใช่แค่เขารู้อะไร
แต่คือเขา “เป็นคนแบบไหน”

เพราะ “แยมไม่ได้แค่พาไปค่าย…แยมพาเขาไปเติบโต”

may be what matters most in your child’s life.

School is important—but some things
must be experienced beyond the classroom.

Living with strangers.
Adapting to unfamiliar situations.
Solving problems independently.

who steps outside the classroom.

A good camp is not just about fun.

แยมไม่ได้แค่จัดค่าย
แยมโตมากับค่าย

ตั้งแต่ค่ายธรรมชาติเล็กๆ
ค่ายผู้นำ
ไปจนถึงค่ายต่างประเทศ

มีทั้งวันที่สนุกมาก
และวันที่คิดถึงบ้านจนอยากกลับ

แต่ทุกครั้งที่ผ่านไป
แยมรู้สึกว่า “เราไม่เหมือนเดิมแล้ว”

เราเริ่มกล้าคุยกับคนแปลกหน้า
เริ่มแก้ปัญหาเอง
เริ่มรู้จักตัวเองมากขึ้น

และที่สำคัญ…
ความรู้สึกเหล่านั้น
ยังอยู่กับแยมจนถึงวันนี้

นี่คือเหตุผลที่แยมเชื่อว่า
ค่ายที่ดี ไม่ใช่แค่ประสบการณ์ชั่วคราว
แต่มันกลายเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของตัวตนเรา

ความตั้งใจทำค่ายในวันนี้
จึงไม่ใช่แค่พาไปค่าย…
แยมพาชาวค่ายไปเติบโต

ไม่ว่าจะเด็กเล็กหรือผู้ใหญ่

I didn’t just organise camps.
I grew up in them.

From small nature camps
to leadership programmes
to international experiences—

some days were exciting,
some days I felt homesick and wanted to go home.

But every time, I came back… different.

More confident.
More independent.
More aware of who I am.

And those feelings have stayed with me until today.

That’s why I believe
a good camp is not just a temporary experience—
it becomes part of who we are.

I don’t just take campers to 'camp,'.
I take them to 'grow.'

Whether they are kids or adults,
I strongly believe in the lifelong learning.
