Hi everyone! 👋 I’ve seen a lot of posts lately asking about realistic budgets for couples moving to Bangkok, so I wanted to share our data points from last month.

My husband and I are living a bit further out from the center (we rely on our condo’s shuttle bus to the BTS), which allows us to pay only 9,000 THB for rent. It’s been a huge saver!

However, we realized we are spending almost 4,000 THB a month just on coffee (mostly 7-Eleven and Tao Bin machines 🙈).

Our total spend for two people came out to just under 50,000 THB.

If anyone is currently budgeting for the move, I made a video breaking down every category (utilities, groceries vs. eating out, transport, etc.). Hope it helps give a realistic picture!
