🌸 Second day of our multi-day package in Chiang Dao is usually dedicated to community jungle trekking and exploring the famous Chiang Dao Cave Temple.

🌿 Right after breakfast we leave the homestay with a local village guide who knows every trail in the area. You’ll walk past cascading waterfalls, century-old trees, and wild fruit trees — far from the tourist crowds.

⛰️ At Chiang Dao Cave we explore both the illuminated temple chambers filled with ancient Buddha images and the deeper caverns guided by a local lantern-bearer. At the entrance you can feed the sacred koi fish swimming in the clear pool.

☕ Before returning to the mountain village we stop at a peaceful café surrounded by rice fields with stunning views of Doi Chiang Dao.

🌸 First day of our multi-day packages is usually centered around a personal, relaxed visit to an elephant sanctuary.

🌿 Guests learn about the lifestyle and nature of these gentle giants, prepare food and vitamin balls for them, cross the river by boat, walk alongside the elephants, and try to make elephant poo paper.

⛰️ After that we head to the Chiang Dao area — still very local and non-touristy — for trekking, a hill-tribe village visit, and a night under a starry sky.

🌸 When visiting Chiang Rai, Wat Rong Khun (the famous White Temple) is an absolute must-see. However in the same area, you can discover two fascinating places that many visitors miss:

🛕 Cave of Arts — a unique and atmospheric artistic space where visitors take a spiritual walk from the "Suffering Realm" (hell-like imagery) to the "Bliss Realm" (enlightenment), featuring dramatic plaster sculptures, intricate artwork, and changing colored lights.

🐘 Golden Ganesha Temple — home to an impressive golden statue of Ganesha, the Hindu elephant deity associated with wisdom, success and new beginnings. It is built on a small island in a larger pond.

✨ Our advice: Give yourself a little extra time around the White Temple area. Instead of simply arriving and taking photos of the main building, slow down and discover nearby hidden gems.

🌸 Rainy season can bring unexpected showers, but if you brave the weather for bamboo rafting, the experience is truly rewarding. Travelling the river while raindrops drum on your hat and patches of mist cover the water creates an old-time adventure atmosphere.

🌸 Explore with us Doi Inthanon — a place where Thailand touches the sky, the air turns cool and the clouds drift like waves of the sea.

⛰️ We begin at the summit, standing above the clouds, surrounded by cool air and with mountains stretching into the distance. Then comes Ang Ka Nature Trail, a short walk through a moss-covered forest.

🛕 Further down the mountain stand the elegant Twin Pagodas, built in beautifully landscaped gardens with sweeping views across the surrounding peaks. Take your time here.

⭐ But the mountain has one more story to tell.

🌳 We descend on the Pha Dok Siew Trail, following a forest path beside streams and waterfalls, through bamboo groves and beneath the cool canopy. It is the sort of walk where you stop often not because you are tired, but because there is always something worth looking at.

🌿 Eventually, the forest gives way to the quiet farming community of Mae Klang Luang. Here are rice fields tended by the Karen people who have cultivated these hills for generations. Depending on the season, the fields may be vivid green, golden with ripening rice, or freshly harvested.

🌊 And then, to finish the day, Wachirathan Waterfall appears with considerably more drama than the rest of the mountain. It is 80 meters high and its mighty flow often fills air with cool mist.
