Wat Umong Temple
Discover the hidden gem of Chiang Mai at Wat Umong (Tunnel Temple), a place where history, spirituality, and nature blend into one. Built over 700 years ago during the reign of King Mangrai, this unique temple is famous for its mysterious underground tunnels, ancient chedis, and serene forest surroundings.

As you wander through the peaceful grounds, you’ll find moss-covered statues, meditation spaces, and a tranquil lake where locals feed the fish and enjoy the calm atmosphere. The temple is not only a sacred place for monks and meditators but also a perfect escape for visitors seeking quiet moments away from the city’s busy streets.

Whether you come to explore the fascinating tunnels, admire the centuries-old architecture, or simply breathe in the fresh forest air, Wat Umong offers a truly magical experience that will leave you feeling refreshed and inspired.
