The Journey of Skal Hua Hin Cha Am began in 2008 as a founder member together with Stuart Daly, President Bernd Schneider, Thomas Hoeborn and Justin Strachan in starting the Skal Hua Hin Cha Am Chapter.
In 2010, President Richard Mehr stepped in with a new committee and lead Skal Hua Hin & Cha Am until 2013. In 2015, there was some discontinuation of the club due to movement of GM’s and other social clubs starting.
Skal Hua Hin Cha Am was reformed in November 2018 with President Richard Mehr to whom I assisted as Vice President until being elected President by our members since 13th March 2019 at Take 5.
We have come a long way since then getting through the pandemic and COVID – 19 effecting us all and the most challenging time ever in our careers. Crisis brought solidarity, friendship and I am delighted to have experienced business being made amongst members to assist each other through these difficult times.
I am pleased to see a full house today and that we were 28 paid members yesterday, and this morning Khun VP, GM of Chivasom joined taking us now to 29 – welcome to SKAL, and like to congratulate our membership as being one of the most active clubs in Thailand and Asia. There’s potential for more and will come to membership development later. We have also had some good times with great events at fantastic venues and look forward to many more to come.
