What did they actually look like in their complete, original glory?

✨ If we could turn back time to their golden age...
The temples of Ayutthaya weren't just the orange-brick ruins we see today.

🕌 The principal prang (spire) of Wat Mahathat once stood tall as the center of the city, adorned with shimmering stucco decorations and surrounded by hundreds of gilded Buddha statues.

⛩️ Wat Chaiwatthanaram, situated along the Chao Phraya River, was equally breathtaking. Its architecture featured brilliant white plaster highlighted with gold leaf detailing, reflecting the evening light over the water.

Time may have transformed their architecture, but their charm and beauty will truly endure forever.
