Happy ! As fans around the world celebrate this iconic saga, we’re taking a moment to highlight a unique connection between the U.S. and Tunisia.
🚀 Davin Anderson, a U.S. entrepreneur and CEO of Galaxy Tours is leading an initiative to mark the 50th anniversary of Star Wars filming in Tunisia — a country that played a key role in bringing the original story to life.
From March 25–30, 2026, Anderson and Lucasfilm legend Roger Christian will guide fans through some of the most recognizable Star Wars filming locations in Djerba, Tataouine, Matmata, and Tozeur, including:
📍 Lars Homestead • Mos Eisley Cantina • Tosche Station • Jundland Wastes • Obi-Wan’s House • Anakin’s Hovel • Mos Espa
🎶 Special events like a live symphonic celebration at the iconic Lars Homestead dome on the Chott el-Djerid salt flats and a Star Wars-themed gathering in Nefta are also planned.
Beyond the celebration, this initiative supports:

Star Wars | Fun Fact | Obi-Wan Kenobi’s House
Episode IV Special Edition replaced Amghar Mosque with a CGI-enhanced miniature, relegating on-screen discovery of “Old Ben’s” original Tatooine dwelling to pre-1997 archived copies. The film site is the only final cut Tunisian location shot strictly as a plate for The Star Wars, augmented in post-production with a composited landspeeder.
