The Polaris hotel is located at the base of Palandoken Mountain in Erzurum, in the region of North-eastern Anatolia, with a look out on the Palandoken Mountains and the city of Erzurum. An advantage is the travel time from the Erzurum International Airport, which is a 30-minute car drive at a distance of 20km away. The architecture of the hotel is in a simple modern adventure style. The architecture of the building is designed by Michael Jantzen, featuring a built in ski slope during winter and water slide during summer. Eight large wind turbines mounted on the top of the hotel and a large array of flexible photovoltaic solar cells, which cover the lower portion of the structure are also features of the architecture idea.
