We’ve been on over 20 cruises, but this was our first on a luxury line with Seabourn. Everything felt more elevated than our previous cruise experiences. 🚢

We stayed in a basic veranda suite, and it still had more space & extras than any other cruise suites we’ve had.

Little touches that made the room feel special:
Stocked minibar, no extra charges
Filled water bottles
Fast, delicious room service
Hot water and strong shower pressure
A real vanity area
Comfortable bed with soft sheets
So much storage space
Spacious veranda with 2 chairs and a little table

All of it added up to a week that felt comfortable and special. Was it worth the extra luxury price tag, maybe not. But did we have a really fun week, definitely.

We ate a lot on this trip. These are the three things we can’t stop thinking about. #3 is the absolute favorite.

Trust me, you want to book this if you’ll be in NYC!

Just got back from NYC and can’t stop thinking about this show! Masquerade was unlike anything we’ve experienced. It’s a cool remix of the Phantom of the Opera Broadway Musical crossed with a bit of  haunted house vibes where you move room to room with a stellar cast singing and dancing all around you. 

Good to know if you go:
🌟 Cameras will get a sticker over the lens - absolutely no photos allowed.
🌟 All bags are required to be checked.
🌟 Wear all black or white
🌟 The show is just over two hours
🌟 Plan on standing most of the show
🌟 A mask is provided if you don’t bring one

For me the biggest sacrifice with carry-on only is the shoes. I wear my athletic shoes on the plane and then pack a pair...

For me the biggest sacrifice with carry-on only is the shoes. I wear my athletic shoes on the plane and then pack a pair of sandals or other walking shoes depending on the trip and season. Flip flops come along too.

You can fit a surprising amount in a carryon suitcase and a foldie duffel bag. I’d say less shoes is worth the sacrifice!

Sometimes the best days are unplanned ✨

We absolutely loved our day spent in Kristiansand, Norway! 🇳🇴

Are you team plan or no plan while traveling?? I’m usually a planner, but I love to leave room for moments like these!

Our 2nd visit to Bruges didn’t disappoint! Last time we came for the Christmas markets (so magical!) and this time we go...

Our 2nd visit to Bruges didn’t disappoint! Last time we came for the Christmas markets (so magical!) and this time we got to see the city in full summer mode, and it was just as charming.

A few tips if you go:

🚕 Taxi from the cruise port. Get the driver’s number, ours came back to pick us up too.

🚆 Not on a cruise? Take the train from a nearby city instead. We rode in from Brussels on our first visit and it was an easy way to get there.

☕ Old Chocolate House for hot chocolate and waffles in their upstairs tea room. Closed Wednesdays!

🎟️ Prebuy Belfry tickets if you want to climb. They can sell out.

🚤 Canal boat tickets don’t need to be prebooked. Just line up at one of the spots around town.
