Unfortunately we couldn't book No 5 for the whole of our holiday so we moved from another apartment on the same site after a week and although slightly inconvenient, we're so glad that we did!
No 5 is a superb one bedroom apartment set over three floors which gave it a great feeling of spaciousness. The ground floor consists of a fully equipped kitchen, dining and lounge area along with a WC and utility room. Directly outside there's an outside shaded seating area and access to the garden and deceptively large pool area with plenty of loungers and umbrellas. Upstairs is the large, spacious bedroom with en suite bathroom and a walk in wardrobe/storage room. A few steps take you up to the fantastic roof terrace with incredible views over Kalkan and the sea. The terrace has a lounge area, sun beds, dining area and everything you need to prepare the barbeque.
No 5 is beautifully and tastefully decorated throughout and is fully equipped to make your stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. Free WiFi is provided along with 'Smart' TV which came into its own on one unusually rainy day!
It's the first time that we visited Kalkan so late in the holiday season (late September early October) and was a bit apprehensive that it would have that 'end of season' feel, but how wrong we were! No 5 is minutes away from the bustling shops, bars and great choice of restaurants in Kalkan town and harbour. There are a number of supermarkets nearby too for when we wanted to eat in or have a roof top barbeque.
Gavin was a superb host. From our initial contact via email, he kept in touch to make sure he fully understood our travel arrangements and to arrange airport transfers from and to Dalaman. Information about No5 was provided early via a digital brochure (what a great idea!) and later on via the app.
To summarise, No5 is a beautiful, tastefully decorated, comfortable and fully equipped apartment set within a small, quiet complex minutes away from town. The communal pool area is spacious with plenty of loungers and umbrellas.
Gavin has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and worry free. The only downside is that unless you book early for your stay, you're likely to be disappointed!
