With the support of 181 out of 190 countries, Trinidad and Tobago has been elected to the United Nations Security Council for the 2027–2028 term.
This remarkable achievement reflects the strength of our diplomacy, the respect our nation commands internationally, and the leadership of Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar in restoring Trinidad and Tobago’s voice on the global stage.
As a member of the Security Council, our nation will help shape discussions on international peace, security and cooperation while advancing the interests of Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean.

Today, we celebrate a proud achievement for every citizen.

Being caught and prosecuted isn't brining back there lives.
