Traveling to South Korea during summer? Here are a few things to know! Save this for later!
⛱️ People say summer is the worst time to visit, I beg to disagree, there's no such thing as best or worst time to visit a country.
You just need to be well prepared. YES, summer in South Korea means monsoon season, humidity, gray skies, scorching heat, and rain.
But not only, as it really all depends on luck and the year: you might have nothing but sunny days with just 4-5 scattered rainy days in a month, at least that's what happened when I visited Busan or you might get a week of nonstop rain.
☂️ Pack an umbrella, a reusable water bottle, lightweight and breathtable clothing, a hat, mosquito repellent, and sunglasses.
Always wear sunscreen and use cooling powder sheets!
Buy a mini portable fan: such a lifesaver item, and take advantage of air conditioning, take breaks in shops if you need to!
☀️ Things to know:
- temperatures often range from 25°C to 30°C, even reaching 35°C, but it can feel even hotter due to the humidity
- if it's sunny: the best activities to cool off are still going to the beach or a water park
- prioritize outdoor activities in the morning when temperatures are still pleasant
- if you want and try to avoid the rain, your best bet is to visit South Korea in June or September
