GOOD NEWs TO ALL OFWS!
OFWs may download OECs on mobile phones starting October 15, 2022
The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) announced the digitization of overseas employment contract (OEC) starting next month.
Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) may download OECs on their phone starting October 15, 2022.
Returning OFWs will only need to download their OECs on their phones and show the soft copy at the embassy or airport in the Philippines.
The agency for OFWs will also start digital payments for OECs. Currently, OFWs need to pay cash to obtain the OEC.
The alpha and beta testing for online payment will be conducted by end of September.
