✨ January to March and June to December typically offer dry weather, making wildlife viewing easier and roads more accessible ☀️

✨April and May bring the long rains, transforming the landscapes into lush and vibrant green – ideal for photography, fewer crowds, and lower rates 🍃

✨ January – March brings the calving season of the Great Migraiton, allowing you to witness the miracle of life on Africa’s greatest stage. 🦁

✨ June – September the Great Migration reaches its peak and you can follow the heards across sunlit plains and wild rivercrossings. 🐊

🌟 It’s taken a lot of hard work and dedication to get where we are today 🌟

I moved from England to Tanzania with Just $500 and a dream 💭

For a really long time me and Khalfani lived in a little room the size of a box with a bathroom attached 🏡

Our clothes all neatly stored In a suitcase and duffle bag on the floor 🧳

For 2 years we didn’t have a bed, we slept like hopeful angels under our mosquito net on a foam mattress on the floor 🛌

We borrowed food from the shops and paid them back when we could 🙏🏽

Even when we were expecting our little baby boy Arlo, we didn’t have a single coin in the world and collected Rain water to boil and drink 🌨

We took showers using a bucket of water and a jug for more than two years 😱

We kept our food in a corner of the bedroom since we had no kitchen or fridge and cooked on a tiny camping stove ☕️

For medial reasons I travelled to the U.K. to deliver both our beautiful baby boys and since we we didn’t have enough money for Khalfani’s visitor visa to the U.K. to be granted, I had to give birth without him and spend the first two months of our little babies lives solo.

The day that we were finally reunited as a family at Kilimanjaro Airport after 14 weeks apart was everything ❤️

We worked, we prayed and we continued to love eachother and to work hard and we can honestly say that every second was worth it ❤️

We put everything we had in to building our little family safari company and we still do and we couldn’t be happier that we never gave up!! 🥰

Thank you so much to everyone who chooses to book small and to take a chance on us, we can’t tell you what it means and we love you all 🐘✨

All of this to now have been named Safari Tour Operator of the Year 2024, 2025 & 2026, As well as being Tripadvisor Travellers Choice Winners 5 years running …. What a dream come true 🙏🏾🫶

The new safari season is almost upon us and we can barely contain our excitement 🎉

Which means our guides are about to casually “predict” wildlife sightings with suspicious accuracy once again. (We’re not saying it’s magic… but we’re not ruling it out either.) 🤯🐆🫶✨😍

Highly trained, deeply knowledgeable, and extremely good at pretending it was “just a hunch….”

We’re often asked where the name Luna Safari comes from….

A lot of people assume my name is Luna and that we named our little family company after me 🤣

…..Well almost nine years ago, we fell in love on safari ourselves, beneath the glow of an African super moon 🌕✨

And the rest, as they say, is history…

From that unforgettable moment, Luna Safari was born, created from our very own love story and a shared vision to help others experience the beauty of Africa in the same way we did.

We named Luna Safari after the in incredibly special moon that bought us together ❤️
