🌿 A different side of Tanzania.

The Green Season brings lush landscapes, dramatic skies, incredible wildlife and fewer crowds proving that there’s much more to Tanzania than the traditional peak safari months.

This 6-day journey takes you through Tarangire, the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti, with time in the Southern Serengeti and Ndutu, where the Great Migration can gather during this time of year. 🌿

But nature doesn’t follow a fixed schedule. Depending on when exactly you travel during the Green Season, the migration and wildlife may be in different areas ; meaning your itinerary can be adjusted to give you the best possible experience at that particular time.

That’s why we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all safari. Every journey should be planned around the season, the wildlife and what you want to experience.

Thinking about a Tanzania safari? Send us a message and let Ubuntu by Nature help you plan the journey that’s right for you.

When the hyena chooses the wrong target! 😂🐃

This hyena decided to take on a massive male buffalo and somehow went straight for the most sensitive spot! 😂

But behind the funny moment is some serious survival strategy. Spotted hyenas are powerful predators and opportunistic hunters. They can hunt animals much larger than themselves, especially when they find an opportunity to exploit weakness or vulnerability.

Taking on a healthy adult buffalo is extremely risky, though. One mistake and the buffalo can turn the tables very quickly.

Out here in the wild, there is no such thing as an easy meal sometimes you just have to be creative! 🐾

Just another day in the life of a lion pride 🦁 in Serengeti 👀

03/08/2026

The Mara River crossing is one of nature’s greatest spectacles. Thousands of wildebeest surge through the water, driven by instinct and survival. But even for a skilled lioness, the chaos can be too much.

She charged into the herd, surrounded by potential prey. For a split second, indecision took over. One wildebeest… then another… then another. In the confusion, the herd kept moving, and the opportunity slipped away.

In the wild, success doesn’t just depend on strength it depends on timing, focus, and a single decisive moment.

Nature reminds us that sometimes having too many choices can be just as challenging as having none.

Not every safari offers a moment like this.

A magnificent leopard gracefully descended from its tree, giving our Ubuntu by Nature Safaris guests a front-row seat to one of Africa’s most elusive predators. Quiet, powerful, and unforgettable.

The Mara River offers no guarantees only chances.

As thousands of wildebeest and zebras surge into the current, driven by instinct and the promise of greener grazing, they enter one of nature’s most unforgiving battlegrounds. Every crossing is a gamble between life and death.

On this crossing, one zebra didn’t make it. In a split second, a crocodile launched from the depths, reminding us that beneath the calm surface lies a predator that has waited patiently for this very moment.

For the herd, there is no time to stop. The migration must continue. The river takes some, but it allows many more to pass. This is the harsh balance that has shaped the Great Migration for thousands of years.

Disclaimer: This footage documents a natural wildlife event. No animals were harmed by humans, and no intervention took place. Predator-prey interactions are an essential part of maintaining the balance of the ecosystem.
