3-Day Highlights of Tanzania Safari
Day 1: Tarangire National Park – The Elephant Paradise
• Morning: Pick up from Arusha or Karatu and drive to Tarangire National Park.
• Activity: Full day game drive in the park, famous for its massive herds of elephants and iconic Baobab trees.
• Lunch: Picnic lunch at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the Tarangire River.
• Evening: Drive to your lodge/camp in Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – The Garden of Eden
• Morning: Early breakfast and descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater floor.
• Activity: Game viewing in one of the 7 Wonders of Africa. This is the best place to see the rare Black Rhino.
• Lunch: Picnic lunch by the Hippo Pool inside the crater.
• Afternoon: Ascend the crater and enjoy a cultural visit to a nearby Maasai Boma (optional) before returning to Karatu.
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Tree Climbing Lions
• Morning: Short drive to Lake Manyara National Park.
• Activity: Explore the groundwater forest and the lake shore. Look out for tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, and thousands of pink flamingos.
• Lunch: Hot lunch at the lodge or picnic lunch in the park.
• Late Afternoon: Drive back to Arusha or transfer to the airport (JRO/Arusha Airport) for your flight.
