๐Ÿ“ŒHonestly we were hesitant to add Tarangire to our safari package but thanks to our Guides for clearing our doubts. I must admit it was worth it.
Since the park is famous for having lots of elephants and baobabs we thought that is what we would see most of the time but it was completely the opposite. Of course we saw lots of elephants and it was such a thrilling adventure to see these gentle giants in such a close distance. It was almost like a zoo. If you love elephants you don't want to miss Tarangire because the experience is extraordinary.

We were lucky enough to see other residents of Tarangire like giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, ostriches, monkeys, waterbucks, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, e.t.c.

Thanks to our safari guide, Richard, who knows this park very well. The sighting at the river was really beautiful. Seeing giraffes and elephants and their calves drinking were amazing.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE AT THE AIRPORT?

Lately I have received a number of queries regarding airport operations, when to arrive and what the current procedures are so to help all my lovely customers, please see below my top tips.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE AT THE AIRPORT?

- Standard check in opens about 2 and a half hours before travel for most airlines for short haul flights and 3 and a half hours for long haul.
- If you have just hand luggage and have your boarding cards already you can head straight through to Security.
- If you have luggage to check in or no boarding cards you need to do this before you proceed to Security.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER CHECK-IN?

Itโ€™s important to make your way straight to departures and through security without delay.

PREPARING FOR SECURITY

To help with growing queues as we head into the busy travel season it is helpful to prepare yourself before reaching the belt.

Removing your belt, if you are wearing one, and emptying your pockets (e.g. keys, loose change) and pack these in your hand luggage. And, make sure you take the below items out of your hand luggage, placing them in the trays provided.

Liquids โ€“ including water and any creams, lotions, perfumes, foods etc. If possible, pack your liquids in the bag you will be checking-in
- All liquids must be in containers no larger than 100ml.
- All containers must be in a single, transparent, resealable plastic bag which holds no more than a litre and measures approximately 20cm x 20cm (limited to one bag per person).
- Check government hand luggage restrictions at UK airports for further details, medical and dietary exceptions.

Electronics & Lighters
- Lighters must be placed inside your liquids bag for the duration of your journey
- Remove all large electrical items (e.g. laptops, tablets, e-readers, hair straighteners) from your hand luggage and place them flat in a separate tray ensuring they are not covered or on top of each other.

Donโ€™t forget you'll also need to remove any outdoor clothing, boots and shoes with heels and pop them into a tray too.

Once you're through security, relax and keep an eye on the departure boards for your flight to be called โ€“ your holiday has begun and you deserve to unwind!

At 5896m Mt Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain and one of the continent's magnificent sights, It has three main volcanic peaks, Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira. The name itself "Kilimanjaro" is a mystery wreathed in clouds. It might mean Mountain of Light, Mountain of Greatness or Mountain of Caravans.
