Terry & Chris’s personalised Zanzibar adventure! 🌴🐬

After an incredible safari on mainland Tanzania, where they were lucky enough to spot the Big Five, Terry & Chris joined us in Zanzibar for a few unforgettable days on the island.

With limited time and a specific itinerary in mind, we carefully planned their private experience to make every moment count, combining adventure, relaxation, culture and meaningful local connections. 🤍

🐬 Day 1 – The Ultimate CCW Dolphin Experience
After a day to relax and unwind, it was time for our ultimate dolphin experience! We entered the dolphins’ world, allowing them to approach in their own time, and they certainly came out to play! 🐬✨ We then continued to Salaam Cave, where they had the opportunity to feed and spend time with the resident turtles.

🌅 Day 2 – Discovering Stone Town
We spent the afternoon exploring the historic streets of Stone Town before watching the town transform as the sun began to set. The vibrant atmosphere, local food and energy of Forodhani Gardens made for the perfect evening.

❤️ Day 3 – Makunduchi Village Experience
We saved something truly special for their final day. Shopping alongside local families at the village market, preparing and sharing dinner together, and spending quality time with the community was the perfect way to end their Zanzibar adventure. More than just sightseeing, it was an opportunity to connect with the people and culture that make this island so special.

When planning your Zanzibar adventure, where you stay can make a big difference to how much time you actually spend exploring — and how much time you spend travelling. 🚗🌴

Our Zanzibar Travel & Fuel Zone Map gives you a simple guide to the different areas of the island and the indicative fuel/travel allowance for excursions.

From Nungwi & Kendwa in the north, through Matemwe, Kiwengwa & Stone Town, all the way down to Paje, Jambiani, Michamvi, Makunduchi & Kizimkazi — Zanzibar may look small on a map, but the distances can be surprising!
