Rubeho/Whyte’s/Montane Double-collared Sunbird (Eastern), aka Skye Sunbird (Cinnyris whytei skye)

A rare and vibrant gem, this bird belongs to a newly identified subspecies of Cinnyris whytei, first observed in 2016. Endemic to the Eastern Arc Mountains and Iringa Highlands, its presence highlights the remarkable biodiversity found within the unique ecosystems of Tanzania's Southern Highlands.
