What an incredible 4-day safari adventure with Sorna and Ayda, guided by our professional driver guide Victor!

From the vast landscapes of Tarangire National Park, to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater and the endless plains of the Serengeti, every day brought something unforgettable.

They were incredibly lucky to witness all the Big Five lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino along with many other incredible wildlife encounters.

One of the most thrilling moments was witnessing a cheetah hunt in the Serengeti, while Ngorongoro offered another unforgettable rhino sighting in the wild.

With Victor’s experience, excellent wildlife spotting, and great knowledge of the parks, this became a perfect safari from start to finish.

SUMMIT DAY! UHURU PEAK 5,895 M

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR AMAZING AMERICAN LIONESS TEAM!

After days of trekking, acclimatization, challenging climbs, early mornings, and countless steps, the team successfully reached Uhuru Peak at 5,895 m (19,341 ft) the highest point in Africa and the Roof of Africa!

Standing at the summit is more than reaching a number on the mountain. It represents determination, teamwork, patience, courage, and never giving up, even when the journey becomes demanding.

From the beautiful forests of the Lemosho Route, across the Shira Plateau, through Lava Tower, Barranco, Karanga, and Barafu, every step brought the team closer to this incredible achievement.

You believed in yourselves, supported one another, and kept moving pole pole until you stood on the Roof of Africa.

DAY-5 LEMOSHO ROUTE BARRANCO → KARANGA

Another successful day on Mount Kilimanjaro for our American Lioness team!

The day began at Barranco Camp (~3,960 m / 12,992 ft) with the team taking on the famous Barranco Wall, climbing steadily with confidence, teamwork, and the guidance of our professional mountain crew.

Barranco Wall: ~4,200 m (13,780 ft)
Karanga Camp: ~4,035 m (13,240 ft)

After conquering the Barranco Wall, the team continued through the valleys and ridges toward Karanga Camp, surrounded by spectacular views of Kilimanjaro’s alpine landscape.

And after a demanding day on the mountain, there was time for a little celebration with the team and Pictures at Karanga A moment to relax, share smiles, appreciate the journey so far, and celebrate the strong teamwork that makes every step toward the summit special. The summit is getting closer Uhuru Peak – 5,895 m (19,341 ft).

DAY-4 LEMOSHO ROUTE SHIRA 2 → LAVA TOWER → BARRANCO

Today was one of the most important acclimatization days for our American Lioness team as they continued deeper into the high altitude environment of Mount Kilimanjaro with their favorite Guide BABU.

Route: Shira 2 Camp → Lava Tower → Barranco Camp
Shira 2 Camp: ~3,850 m (12,630 ft)
Lava Tower: ~4,630 m (15,190 ft)
Barranco Camp: ~3,960 m (12,990 ft)

The team climbed steadily from Shira 2 toward Lava Tower, gaining significant elevation and experiencing the thinner air at approximately 4,630 m. Lava Tower is a key acclimatization point on the Lemosho Route and provides an excellent opportunity for the body to adapt to higher altitude.

From Lava Tower, the team descended toward the spectacular Barranco Valley, surrounded by dramatic volcanic landscapes and the impressive cliffs of Kilimanjaro. Finishing the day at a lower sleeping altitude is an important part of the “climb high sleep low” acclimatization strategy.

The team is moving strong, staying together, and taking the mountain pole pole one step at a time.

The ultimate goal remains ahead: Uhuru Peak 5,895 m (19,341 ft), the Roof of Africa.

DAY-3 LEMOSHO ROUTE ACCLIMATIZATION DAY.

Altitude is the challenge, acclimatization is the strategy.

Today, our 4-American Lioness team continued their 8-Day Lemosho Route adventure with an important acclimatization day on the Shira Plateau.

Route: Shira 1 Camp → Cathedral Point → Shira 2 Camp
Shira 1 Camp: ~3,505 m (11,500 ft)
Cathedral Point: ~3,900 m (12,800 ft)
Shira 2 Camp: ~3,850 m (12,630 ft)

The team first climbed from Shira 1 toward Cathedral Point, gaining additional altitude to help their bodies adapt to the thinner air. After spending time at higher elevation and enjoying spectacular views across the Shira Plateau, they descended slightly and continued to Shira 2 Camp for the night.

This “climb high, sleep lower” approach is an important part of responsible Kilimanjaro acclimatization. The day also offers incredible views toward Mount Meru, the Shira Plateau, and the western slopes of Kilimanjaro.

The adventure begins! Our 4-American Lioness has officially started their 8-Day Lemosho Route trek on Mount Kilimanjaro.

Today’s journey took them through the beautiful rainforest, surrounded by lush vegetation, fresh mountain air, and the sounds of nature, as they made their way to Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree Camp).

Day 1: Lemosho Gate → Big Tree Camp
Overnight: Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree Camp)
Habitat: Rainforest
Altitude: Around 2,780 m
