The Zanzibar Commission for Tourism (ZCT) informs the general public and all visitors to Zanzibar that appropriate action has been taken against three foreign nationals who were found conducting tourism tours and related activities contrary to the laws and regulations governing the tourism sector in Zanzibar.

In accordance with the Zanzibar Tourism Act No. 6 of 2009, tour operation activities and tourist boat transportation businesses are reserved for Zanzibaris.

ZCT therefore urges residents and visitors to ensure that they use licensed tour operators and qualified tourism service providers to promote safe, lawful and quality tourism services.

Safe, responsible and sustainable tourism is a shared responsibility.

Kamisheni ya Utalii Zanzibar (ZCT) inauarifu umma na wageni wote wanaotembelea Zanzibar kuwa imewachukulia hatua raia watatu wa kigeni waliobainika kuendesha shughuli za ziara na matembezi ya kitalii kinyume na sheria na kanuni zinazosimamia sekta ya utalii Zanzibar.

Kwa mujibu wa Sheria ya Utalii Zanzibar Na. 6 ya mwaka 2009, shughuli za uendeshaji wa ziara na biashara za boti za usafirishaji wa watalii zimetengwa kwa ajili ya Wazanzibari.
