Kiev-Mohyla Academy is considered to be one of the very first universities on the modern territory of Ukraine.
Founded by a monch Petro Mohyla in 17th century, it was a true humanities institute, offering Theology, Linguistics and other humanitarian sciences.
During Soviet Era, the Academy was not only not destroyed, but also transformed into the Navy Politology College.
In the Independent Ukraine, it became again one of the leading classic universities of the country.

This summer, a new pedestrian bridge has been opened in Central Kyiv.
The location of a bridge is amazing itself! It was constucted just above Vladiniraskyi descent road, that joins Upper Kiev and Podil - its historical, low located part.
The bridge opens an amazinf view to Podil, Dnieper river, Hydropark and Left bank of Kiev.
For adrenaline lovers the designers have created windows through all length of a brigde, on which itis possible to stand and get mad!)

The Kiev Funiculirie was established in 1905 in order to connect Upper Kiev - a part of city, located on hills and Podil - the ancient district, situated on Dnepr river bank.
113 years later it is still one of the most important city transports!
Every day there are huge queues in both directions during morning & evening rush hours. You might wait for 20-25 minutes just to get into the overcrowded wagony, while the whole ride takes not more than 5 minutes!!
And on the upper station you can also find a balcony with amazing view on Kiev!)

Since 2017 the Petro Sagaydachnyi street in Kiev is made as a fully pedestrian resort zone with lots of boutiques, clubs and cafes.
This year it is magnificently decorated for 2019 winter celebrations.
