For many years we’ve been helping clients book the best chalets in Courchevel, and we know all the little details that allow you to save money and find truly great options. Here are some proven tips:

1. Book in advance

The best chalets go first. The closer to the season – the higher the price. The ideal time to start looking is 4–6 months before your trip.

2. Focus on location, not just “stars”

This is especially true for Courchevel 1850 – the most popular altitude. Sometimes a chalet slightly further from the center costs significantly less but includes transfer to the ski lift. There are also ski-in/ski-out options, where you can step out of your chalet straight onto the slope.

3. Plan flexibly, but within a weekly format

Chalets are rented for a minimum of 7 nights, usually Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday. So flexibility within weeks of a month is key, rather than picking random dates (e.g., you usually can’t book from Tuesday to Tuesday). Prices also vary: Christmas and New Year’s are always the most expensive periods.

4. Don’t rely only on photos

Catalogs often look glossy, but in reality, the service can differ. Always check the important details: presence of a private chef, transfers, ski room, SPA.
