Kibale gets even better when you give it enough time.

Our guests tracked chimpanzees twice ,once in the morning and again in the afternoon and came back talking about how different the two experiences felt.

The morning was all movement. The chimps were active, the forest was alive, and keeping up was part of the fun.

In the afternoon, the pace slowed. There was more time to settle into the forest, watch the chimps closely and take those photographs you hope for when you come to Kibale.

Same forest. Same chimpanzees. Two very different moments.

If you have the time, do both. You’ll understand the difference when you’re there.

Some journeys are about getting somewhere.

A safari is different.
Here, the road becomes part of the adventure.
A winding track through the countryside.
Green hills giving way to open savannah.
A village around the next bend.
Children waving as you pass.

And then, perhaps, elephants crossing the road or giraffes appearing on the horizon.
You never quite know what you’ll find.
And that’s the beauty of travelling through Uganda.
The destination may be on the map, but the memories are made along the way.
