Nkuruba community tours, is a community-based tourism project owned by a team of local tourist guides with more than ten years’ experience in the tourism sector Uganda. Our strategy is to use responsible travel to show tourists our local area, the wildlife, and learn about our traditional cultures, this way it will help us in community sensitization and involvement in nature and cultural conservat
ions for the generations to come this is possible because locals will see the need to conserve the natural environment as well as their cultures since they directly benefit from tourism. Communities in around tourism sites have been left out for so long in the tourism business, there was need to involve the local communities around our area in tourism activities for they are the custodians of the tourist attractions. Before we were concentrated mostly in tours of the western and southern parts of Uganda doing tours to the Murchison falls national park, Kibale chimp forest, the Rwenzori Mountain hikes, the crater lakes area, hot springs, birding tours, as well as Queen Elizabeth national park. Due to increased demand from our clients, we saw the need to extend out tours to the rest of the regions of Uganda hence the coming up of tour packages to areas like Kidepo- Karamoja area, Sipi fall around mountain Elgon, Bwindi for the gorillas, lake Mburo National Park among others meaning our tours cover the whole of Uganda.
