Chimpanzees are one of the most intelligent animals on the planet and are known for their ability to use tools and solve problems.

They are also very social creatures, living in groups of up to 100 individuals.

Here in Uganda, chimpanzees are found in Kibale Forest National Park and are an endangered species due to habitat loss and hunting.

If you are interested in learning more about these fascinating creatures, here are a few things you should know.

-Chimpanzees are our closest living relatives, sharing 98% of our DNA.

-They are proficient tool-users and have been known to use sticks to fish for termites, rocks to crack open nuts, and even spears to hunt small animals.

-Chimpanzees are highly social creatures and live in groups called communities. Each community has its own territory which they defend against other groups.
