Pangolins are extraordinarily beautiful animals 🤍
Up close, every detail stands out — their delicate feet, powerful tail, and scales crafted as natural armor.
Each feature is designed for survival.

But none of it protects them from us.
Because too often, what we find most beautiful…
is exactly what we destroy.

Seeing a silverback gorilla in the wild, up close, will make your heart pound. A fully grown male can weigh around 195 kg and stand about 1.5 meters tall. Incredibly powerful, a silverback can lift over 800 kg of dead weight.

During a trek, you spend up to one hour with a habituated family, often just a few meters away.

Start planning your journey into ancient forests with Wild Uganda and experience it for yourself.

Shoebills have a fascinating way of feeding their chicks — parents catch fish, partly digest it, and then regurgitate it for the young to eat. They also bring water in their beaks to cool the nest and keep the chicks hydrated, showing an incredible level of care.
This care continues for several months, usually until the chicks are around 3 to 4 months old, after which they gradually begin to feed more independently.

Is there a better feeling than relaxing by the pool between game drives? Only when the wildlife comes to your lodge — then it’s a perfect safari day 🐘

Jacob, one of Uganda’s most resilient lions, has survived being gored by a buffalo and poisoned by poachers — earning him a reputation as a true “lion with 9 lives.” He’s even known for swimming across the Kazinga Channel. A life like his could easily be the subject of a documentary.
When you’re in Uganda, hopefully you’ll get the chance to see him 🇺🇬🦁

David Attenborough is turning 100 next month, one of the most influential voices in the history of natural filmmaking. He has experienced countless extraordinary wildlife encounters across the globe, but when it comes to gorillas, he has said it was perhaps the most important series of his filmed life.

Coming close to mountain gorillas is truly one of the most profound wildlife experiences on Earth — a rare moment of connection that feels almost human. And those emotions will stay with you forever 🦍
