Tsavo East National Park, established in 1948 and located in Kenya’s Coast Province, is one of the world’s largest wildlife sanctuaries, covering 13,747 sq. km of arid plains. Giraffe Centre – Nairobi, Kenya PART 2

The Giraffe Centre is one of the most famous wildlife attractions in Nairobi. It is a conservation center dedicated to protecting the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe, a rare giraffe subspecies found mainly in East Africa.

• Located in Lang’ata, about 15–20 km from Nairobi city centre.
• Around 30–40 minutes by car depending on traffic.

🦒 What You Can Do There
1. Feed giraffes
• Visitors stand on a raised platform and hand-feed giraffes special pellets.
• You can even get the famous “giraffe kiss” while feeding them.
2. Learn about conservation
• The center educates visitors about giraffes and wildlife protection in Kenya.
3. Nature walk
• A 1.5 km forest trail with birds and small wildlife like warthogs.
4. Photography
• One of the best places in Nairobi for close-up giraffe photos. 📸
