Birds in Uganda
Uganda is one of the best birding countries in Africa because it sits where East African savanna, Central African rainforest, and Albertine Rift mountains meet.

It's total recorded species are 1,070 species, that’s the 4th longest list in the African Bird Club region. While another count by Uganda Tourism Center lists 1,061 species.
Some hotspots with recent sightings are Mabamba Swamp, Bigodi Swamp / kibale, Lake Mburo NP, Kidepo Valley NP and Bwindi NP.
