Uganda Wildlife Authority is meeting with tour guides in Uganda at Skyz Hotel in Kampala to discuss matters of shared interest related to tourism operations, conservation management, and collaborative partnerships.

This meeting has created an opportunity for dialogue and clarification on emerging issues within the tourism sector.

UWA Executive Director Dr. James Musinguzi announced a reduction in Gorilla Permit prices during the low season months of April, May, and November, lowering the cost from $800 to $600. He also mentioned that an official document with further details regarding the new tariffs will be released.

Acting Commissioner for Tourism and Business Development, Dorcus Rukundo, introduced the guides to new tourism products that UWA is working out and these include; the glass bridge over the Nile, canopy walks, houseboats, golden cat tracking, zip lining, and hot air balloon rides, among others.
