Ambridge-Economy Brewing Co. opened in 1908 and closed in 1911 it was open for 3 years.

The Economy Hotel on Merchant St. Famous for its chicken & waffles dinner. President-elect William Henry Harrison spent a night here on his way to the White House. Rumor has it the hotel burned to the ground in the early 1900's. What happened next on this property would make a great Dateline episode. Take the tour and find out what happened here. Tours start May 23 2026.

The world, shrouded in fog,
As if seen through a widow's veil.
Cold, unforgiving.
Biting at cheeks and fingertips.
And yet she walks on.
Encased in the damp gray,
The only other living thing
On an abandoned planet.
God's forgotten child.
Wandering the night.
Searching for daylight,
For meaning, for purpose.
For companionship or compassion.
Beneath the streetlamp's dim glow,
Her chin trembles.
A single tear mingles with the mist,
Unseen, unknown, uncared for.
In this endless night,
She becomes the ghost.
A shadow among shadows.
Doomed to wander
Through the cold fog
For all eternity.
