It came to my attention yesterday that CBS announced on a morning news show that Alaska has had a 111% in increase in Covid cases since opening the state a short time ago. The fact is, our state has gone from 35 cases on May 12 to 39 as of yesterday hardly 111% if I draw back on my 5th grade basic math. I just want anyone considering a visit to our wonderous state this summer that we are and have been open since May 15 and have added extra measures to keep our guests safe on our trips. By virtue, an ATV tour has separation and as a fresh air activity gives clients piece of mind while enjoying the beauty, wildlife and nature of our rainforest tours. We hope to ride with you this summer and NO, WE DON`T get our news from cbs!

Polar Bear update: I leave for Barrow January 23 and will be spending the remainder of the winter there at the top of the world. The sun has not been seen for many weeks now but there have been Polar Bear sightings off and on during this time. I will make a post the first day we see the sun and this day will mark the start of my search for the bears. As spring nears I expect many more bear sightings.
If bears are found to be at accessible locations I will be taking folks in search of the best viewing and photo opportunities. The cost to travel to Barrow is less than smaller villages and some may want to use air-miles on Alaska Airlines to save even more.

New government public transit program gives Polar Bear Cubs a lift!! :)

On a more serious note, we had the best Polar Bear Viewing season in 5 years with over 30 healthy Alaskan Polar Bears in the area. 4 sets of very playful spring cubs put on a real show for all that joined us in 2011. See more new pics just added......Tim

Hi to all backcountry enthusiasts!! Ak ATV Adv`s season is off to a great start. Lots of snowmelt and water this spring and riders have been up for the challenge. We have huge Kings at the waterfall and several black bear moms with playful cubs in the area that have been putting on quite a show for us. Yesterday was the first brown bear sighting. He was crossing the river on a log hoping for a salmon to pounce on
