📣Honest review of Art of Animation Cars Family Suite. My family spent some time at Art of Animation at Walt Disney World. We had a Cars family suite, which sleeps up to 6 and has 2 full bathrooms, along with a small kitchenette.
👍🏻Pros:
🏁Themed experience. Every detail makes you feel like you are in Radiator Springs. From the pool cabanas in the shape of traffic cones, to the traffic cone lights and the "car wash" themed bathrooms, it's very immersive. If you are a Cars fan, this is a wonderful experience!
🏁Skyliner. This alone will save you so much time getting to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. It's also a more relaxing way to travel than the Disney bus.
🏁Affordable. As a Value resort, it offers a lot of amenities but at a more affordable price point.
👎🏻Cons:
🏁Space. While the room is spacious when set up as dining table and sofa, once you bring down the Murphy bed and pull out sofa, all that space is gone. That's because any open space has to be used for storing the dining chairs and couch cushions. There is no dedicated storage space for the "extras".
🏁Murphy bed. Definitely not the best bed on Disney property. It creaked and was generally uncomfortable. The sofa bed was not as bad, but also nothing to write home about.
🏁Loud. Even with a sound machine on (a travel must-have) we could still hear folks running down the hall and the showers were very loud and could be heard throughout the suite (and probably next door!)
Would I recommend this resort for my clients? Yes if looking for an economical solution for larger families. Also if the clients are HUGE Cars, Finding Nemo, Lion King or Little Mermaid fans as those are the themed rooms at Art of Animation.
Would I recommend it for smaller parties than prefer a quieter resort? No, in that case, I would recommend Port Orleans- French Quarter or Coronado Springs.
