A little behind-the-scenes from this week:

I passed my Verified Travel Advisor test through the American Society of Travel Advisors.

I have also been spending time learning from and connecting with travel brands, vendors, and partners — not just any brands, but ones I would feel good trusting with the women who travel with Expedition Sisterhood.

That matters to me.

When I choose partners for future trips or to recommend to you, I am looking for more than a pretty brochure or a familiar name. I want to understand their standards, their service, their values, and how they support the overall guest experience.

Because the people and companies behind the scenes matter.

The experience is shaped by more than the destination.

It is shaped by who we trust along the way. ❤️

Wednesday Wandering: Old Town San Diego

One of my favorite ways to experience a place is to wander a little — no big production, no rushing, just noticing the details that give a place its personality.

Old Town San Diego was perfect for that.

A little history.
A little color.
A few old buildings.
A possibly haunted house.
Good food.
And the kind of small details that make me stop and take way too many pictures.

These are the kinds of places I love finding when I travel — not because they are complicated, but because they give you a real sense of place.

Would you wander here?

Our June Yellowstone Discovery Expedition is happening — and there is only ONE spot left.

This is a women-only, small-group trip with a flexible, low-to-moderate pace.

Lodging, meals, snacks, transportation during the trip, park fees, activities, and guiding are all handled once you arrive in Bozeman.

If Yellowstone has been sitting on your bucket list and you don’t want to figure it all out alone, this may be your opening.

June 14–19, 2026
One private room left.

Message me “Yellowstone” and I’ll send the details.

One of the most common quiet worries before a small-group trip is:

“What if I don’t know anyone?”

And honestly, that makes sense.

It can feel vulnerable to say yes to a trip when you are not arriving with a built-in travel buddy.

But here is what I want you to know:

You do not have to arrive with someone to be included.

Most women who come on these trips are simply ready to see more, experience more, and stop waiting for someone else’s schedule, budget, or interest to line up perfectly.

Some are used to solo travel.
Some are trying it for the first time.
Some are nervous.
Some are excited.
Most are a little bit of both.

That is normal.

Expedition Sisterhood trips are designed with that in mind — small groups, shared experiences, thoughtful pacing, and enough structure that you are not left trying to figure everything out alone.

You can come as you are.

You can arrive not knowing anyone.

And you can still leave with shared stories, familiar faces, and the feeling that you were part of something.

Arriving solo does not mean feeling alone.

I’m in San Diego this week for the ASTA Travel Advisor convention — and honestly, this is the kind of behind-the-scenes work I really value.

I have always been a learner.

When I care about something, I want to understand it better. I want to ask better questions, make stronger connections, learn from people who know more than I do, and keep improving the way I serve the women who travel with Expedition Sisterhood.

Because planning meaningful group trips is not just about picking pretty places.

It is about understanding logistics, vendors, guest experience, safety, timing, flow, travel trends, and all the little details that help a trip feel smoother and more thoughtfully put together.

So yes, I’m here learning.

And when I invest in growing as a travel advisor and trip planner, that investment comes back into Expedition Sisterhood — into the trips, the planning, the questions I ask, and the experiences I’m building for the women who say yes.

Always learning. Always refining. Always trying to make the next trip even better. ❤️

I might have made a little time to explore, also…so stay tuned for some highlights.

City travel confidence is not about being afraid.

It is about making small, practical choices that help you stay present and comfortable while you explore.

Know your route before you start walking.
Use your phone, then look up.
Keep your bag close and secure.
Keep one ear open.
Trust your gut.
Step into a public place if something feels off.

The goal is not fear.

The goal is feeling prepared, aware, and confident enough to actually enjoy the city you came to see.

Couldn’t make the June departure for our Yellowstone Discovery Expedition work with your schedule?

We also have a July departure that gives you another chance to experience Yellowstone with us this summer.

The June and July itineraries are very similar — same Expedition Sisterhood feel, similar Yellowstone highlights, and the same kind of shared travel experience.

Geysers.
Wildlife.
Canyon views.
Hot springs.
Shared meals.
Beautiful scenery.
A small group of women to experience it with.

So if June wasn’t the right fit, July may be.

Charleston feels like the kind of place that asks you to slow down.

Not stop.
Just soften a little.

Walk the old streets. Notice the gas lanterns. Linger over a good meal. Listen to the stories tucked into the brick, the harbor, the church bells, and the live oaks.

That’s part of why November feels like such a beautiful time to experience it.

The heavy summer heat has eased, the city starts leaning toward the holidays, and the pace feels a little more human — perfect for wandering, learning, eating well, and letting the Lowcountry work its quiet little magic.

This is the kind of trip for women who want beauty, history, food, culture, and connection…

without having to plan every detail alone.

Would Charleston in November be your kind of trip?
