I was mistakenly attacked by this creature today, as I was trying to remove a screen from a window. I went up on the ladder and leaned my hand for a bit of support on a shutter that unintentionally disturbed a wasp’s nest behind it. I quickly turned into Mike Tyson trying o swing at the little rascal who thought I was trying to attack its home. The creature took advantage of me, since I was trying to keep my balance on the 24 ft ladder. I felt helpless as I could only dodge so much. I felt like I was live in the boxing match from Canelo vs Bivol, as the evil insect shove its sharp stinger into my forearm more than once. I roared like a hungry lion! but felt bad for the creature and instead of killing it, I gave it another chance to live. Instead of feeling resentful, hatred, and anger against something I had very little control of, I kept my thoughts positive. I unsuccessfully came down the ladder without removing the screen, as I asked my partner for a sting relief ointment. I decided to take quicker action, as I quickly remembered that mud had once saved my allergic cousin from a wasp’s sting. I found a muddy patch on the ground nearby and proceeded to scoop it and place it on top of the painful stings. I felt quick relief, added some more mud to the stings and was able to neutralize it within a minute or two.
The story could have ended here, but the screen was still up on the window and it needed to come off to be able to clean the window. We had no interior access to the window, so I quickly had to come up with a master a plan to declare war on the pesty creatures. I grabbed my pump sprayer, which of course had to have an air leak causing the sprayer to have a weak stream. I climbed the ladder and launched my first unsuccessful attack with the weak stream and desperately came down the ladder avoiding another sting. I then, bombed their nest behind the shutter with the bleach solution in my pump sprayer, and faster than a beam of light 7 other specters came out hovering like drunken sailors. They fled to never return, and I won the war as I successfully removed the screen happily ever after… to be continued after returning to place screens back. 😄
