Sometimes the best plans are the ones you don't see coming.

We were wrapping up a wine tour with an awesome mother-daughter duo when they decided to switch things up. Instead of heading to a third winery, they wanted to go all in and finish the day at a distillery.

Challenge accepted!

We knew just the place: Cultivated Cocktails in East Asheville, out toward Fairview.

From the moment we walked in, the vibe was perfect.
Lounge atmosphere? ✔️
Craft cocktails? ✔️
Distillery tours and tastings? ✔️

And then we spotted the cocktail sampler being poured at the bar...

All three of us looked at each other and immediately said, "YES! Three of those, please!" 😂

It was the perfect way to cap off an incredible day exploring Asheville's beverage scene. Afterward, we headed back to the Bohemian for a nightcap and a well-deserved night's rest.

We have to admit... Canton, NC hasn't been on our regular adventure route for quite a while. Most of our travels have taken us through Candler, Waynesville, and Maggie Valley, but a recent visit to River Farm Escape may have just changed that!

From the incredible Green Valley Cloggers and beautiful mountain views to meeting little entrepreneur Ellie Mae at The Lemonade Stand and digging into some amazing barbecue nachos from Hit the Pit BBQ Co., this was one of those afternoons that reminded us why we love exploring Western North Carolina.

Tunnel Road’s Glow-Up Continues… and Asheville’s Newest Restaurant Just Joined the Party!

Say what you want about Tunnel Road, but besides Innsbruck, the Mall, & the Mountaineer Inn, this side of town is quietly making moves. New hotels, apartments, restaurants, and businesses are popping up — without the big spotlight or hype machine other parts of Asheville get.

The latest addition? Hie Thai — a clever play on “High Tide” — bringing sushi, Thai flavors, and Asian eats to Tunnel Road!

They’ve taken over the long-running Asian restaurant spot, Suwana Thai, and we’re curious… new owners? New concept? Fresh start? Either way, we’re ready to investigate (chopsticks first, obviously).

Who’s already been? What should we order? And more importantly… when are we going?!
