FULL OF GRACE. Let’s call this heavenly to stay on theme with its “lemonade mayo” and buttered brioche. Also in tonight’s Hail Mary table: the Condo Salad with local lettuce draped in Green Goddess, where Cheez-its sub for croutons, and the chicken cheesesteak, declared “the best I ever had – so many flavors!” I’d avoided this playful space after ordering PBJ Brussels sprouts the first time, but those are gone ants replacements have been consistently impressive.

SPOT THE SPINACH. 🔍🕵🏻I ordered a spinach and black olive pie at a new pizza place last night. It was good enough that I’ll go a second time. But not only was my pie bland; there was barely any spinach. I received black olive slices galore, but the veggie? A few little dots scattered across the landscape. I hear the plain cheese pie with Calabrian chili oil had more flavor, so I’ll give the newbie one more chance and order that.

ROCK’N’ROLL With dated club music blaring, we dug into elevated New York-style Chinese fare at North Asheville’s brand-new restaurant, The Majestic. We went Long Island with eggrolls and Chinatown via crispy orange beef. You also see potstickers, spicy Szhezuan dumplings, king pao chicken and crispy fried noodles with duck sauce. It’s meant to be a take-out place with a few sears, but dining in is a pleasure.
