Family Travel Tip: Build in downtime.

The best vacations are not always packed with activities. One thing I learned recently is that my kids are not always going to remember the things that we think they will. During our trip to the mountains, I made sure that we made time for the kids to swim.
Some of the sweetest moments happen during slow mornings, pool breaks, or late-night ice cream runs!

Kids may not remember every detail of the itinerary, but they will remember how they felt together!❤️

We just got back from a quick trip to the Great Smoky Mountains, and my heart is so full. ❤️

I am so thankful for the time spent with my family and for the memories we were able to make together. Watching my boys experience some of the same places my family took me to when I was their age was incredibly special. It brought back so many sweet memories and reminded me just how meaningful these moments really are.

Trips do not have to be perfect or extravagant to matter. Sometimes it is simply being together, exploring, laughing, and creating memories that will stay with us for years to come. 💙

April has absolutely flown by for us! 🌸

I usually think of “adventures” as getting out of the house and exploring somewhere new… but lately I’ve been reminded that some of the biggest adventures happen right at home.

With two little boys who are always on the go, even getting out the door for school can feel like an adventure some days! 😅 But those everyday moments—the chaos, the laughs, the memories we don’t plan—those count too.

Now we’re looking ahead to May… less than a month left of school and summer planning is right around the corner! ☀️
