For all our dear friends and family, I wanted to let you know that Honey Creek Hideaway has been sold. We truly enjoyed getting to know our guests and being a part of the Airbnb community. Life has stages and it is now time to move to the next stage. But wait! Day 3- Vermont- Today we headed away from the water and in a short period of time we were in the mountains. Stunning! We stopped in St. Albans- an adorable town. In our travels, we always ask locals where to go- Waterbury was highly recommended- so off we went! We stopped at a few local farms stands along the way.Maple Creamery ice cream was wonderful! We headed up gondola at the Stowe Resort. Amazing views! Waterbury is a great town- be sure to eat at  prohibition pig- delicious BBQ.

Day 2 in Vermont! Hitting the road- traveled along Lake Champlain. While visiting the Grand Isle, we stopped at South Hero. Adorable area-but don’t blink or you will miss it. Great store, fire stone pizza, craft beer- and a great place for bicycling! Flat and traveled on two wheels by many. Bike rentals are available.

Burlington- visited the local city market- loved seeing the opportunity to buy in bulk. Loved the diner! Celebrating 100 years- just amazing and so was the food🍽️ We stayed at a great Airbnb- old stain glass window, creaky floors, but done up very nice. If you visit the Burlington area, let me know and I’ll share the link!

Time to travel now that schools back in session. Heading to Vermont! I’ll let you know about any great Airbnbs we discover. We also plan to head to Grafton Vermont. I wonder how it compares to Grafton Ohio? Stay tuned 🌺

Schools back in session, so now is the time for us to travel! We’ve been to almost all 50 states, but heading to Vermont to check it off our list! I’ll let you know about the Airbnbs in Vermont. Added bonus, there is a Grafton Vermont, so that is definitely on my visit schedule. I wonder how it compares to Grafton Ohio?

While I use the stairmaster everyday at the gym, the trail to the Tallulah Falls Gorge is a totally different ballgame! I guess I’m getting a tad older🧍‍♀️🥾

A rainy day in the mountains can put a damper on your hiking adventure, so are there other things to do? Absolutely!
1. Visit the local shops and wineries to take away the rainy-day blues!
2. Head north and visit the casino in Cherokee, NC.
3. Check out The Historic Ritz Theatre in Toccoa for events. Many are FREE! I have yet to experience this venue so please share below your experience!
4. Take a restaurant tour. Start an appetizer at one, move on to another restaurant for your main course. Next stop would be dessert maybe at the Main Street Chocolates or another one of our fine restaurants. Finish off your dinner tour at Currahee Brewery to catch a game or if a cocktail is more your style tryout Stekoa Creek, Fortified or Moonrise Distillery.
5. The final recommendation is to enjoy time with your family and friends playing board games and sharing quality time together.
