What started out as "Swim and Swine" finally turned into a beautiful contest Saturday at the 9th Annual Sip N' Swine! Jim Lloyd and Cindy put on a fabulous contest for a great cause!
We were fortunate to team up with our great friends Robert Vanderipe and Lex Venegas of . After a hat draw, it was decided Brian would cook chicken and ribs and Robert would cook pork and brisket. Totally opposite from last year's cook! However, it gave us an opportunity to cook with the best chicken thighs out there- !
Kicking off a little rust (Brian hadn't cooked since the Royal) we closed some beautiful boxes! We liked all of what we turned in. Robert was able to get calls in both of the categories he cooked walking away with 10th place pork and 6th place brisket. Chewin' the BBQ Fat was able to place 15th overall! I say that's pretty good for the first cook of the year. Looking forward to teaming up again at Greenwood!
