First hike of the Maine Summer Hiking Series! Lauren who is a Girls Trip regular and Michelle who is training for her first Katahdin climb. We covered just under 10 miles with over 2,500ft elevation gain. We got views, great conversation, climbs, Poplar got lots of creek dips, and some lite cold rain at the end.

The next hike in the series is Wednesday 5/27 climbing Sugarloaf via the AT. Join if you’re looking for:
-Hiking buddies and new friends
-Exercise and fitness
-Training for a bigger hike
-Checking off a Maine 4,000 footer
-Outdoor community of women
-Mental health and dopamine
-Just getting out of the house for a day

These are free, donation-based hikes.

✨New trip announcement, with some sentimental throwbacks first! ✨

TL;DR Co-ed trek on Kilimanjaro, come with us!

This flag has put in some major miles! It’s been on every single trip we’ve taken, had its photo taken with every woman that has traveled with us, been up countless mountains, traveled through rapids and down multiple rivers, been scrunched up in a handful of backpacks, waved in the wind down ski slopes while braving snow storms, collected dirt from several national parks, been washed in the Pacific Ocean and countless questionable water sources. It’s seen California, Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina, Maine, Alaska, Costa Rica, Argentina, Channel Islands National Park, Big Bend National Park, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Appalachian Trail, whew!

If this flag could talk it would spill the chats we’ve had while huddled around a beach campfire enjoying s’mores, the truths we’ve poured out while laid out under a starry sky somewhere far from home, it would relish in the inside jokes created after a long day of snowboarding, and it would tell you all about the adventurous women it’s met along the way who all have a “why” for joining one of these trips. When this flag isn’t on an adventure, it hangs in my office, surrounded by photos of every trip and kind words hand written by guests turned friends that keep me going and working on the next trip.

Which leads me too announcing the next big thing:

In fall of 2027, we are heading to Tanzania to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest peak reaching 19,341ft tall! This is also our first ever co-ed trip. Lots of guy friends and repeat travelers with adventurous partners have asked for it, so let’s do it! This trip will open for booking next Friday, May 8th, and is only $775 to book your spot on this sick ‘once in a lifetime’ trek.

Quick details:
🗓️September 30-October 8, 2027
🥾7 day trek on the Machame route
•8 early bird spots priced at $3095
•Remaining spots priced at $3395
🎉(Book early = pay less)
🏔️Includes all food, porters, & some gear
✈️You handle your flights, we handle the rest
🙋🏼‍♂️Co-ed (bring your brother, dad, husband, son, etc.!)
Only 25% is due to book your spot, then you have an entire year to pay the rest of your trip in increments. Trip payment will be due June 30, 2027.

I’m so stoked for this one and to share a truly once in a lifetime trip with friends old and new! Reach out with any questions or interest (like literally any at all, I’ll hop on the phone and answer any worries and questions about this huge trip).

Let’s go to Kili 🤙🏼

Traveling with this amazing group of women down to South America was such a dream come true! I’ve thought about this trip at some point every day since getting home from Patagonia. It feels like a part of my heart is with each of these friends, still exploring the trails and taking in the views together.

In about a week, I’ll be announcing a brand new itinerary for a new spot that I’m so so excited to share! It’s, again, a once in a lifetime place to visit, AND will be our first co ed trip! No, we aren’t going full co-ed, I promise. But if you’ve wanted to join a trip of ours, but also be able to share the experience with your favorite guy, this is the one. Hint: we’ll be climbing a really really big mountain.

If you have guesses, interest, or have a place you want to go with us, share it in the comments!

Excited to share a fun summer ahead for The Girls Trip Adventure Co.! I’m going back to the roots of how the idea for The Girls Trip came about in the first place, which started with local hikes to build a community of women that enjoyed getting outside and moving their bodies.

I’m feeling called to do a little less traveling for a bit, and more local exploring to revisit some of my favorite places. To be honest, my mind needs rest, my soul needs rest, and the way I rest is by hiking (yes I hear how backwards that is 😂) I hope I’ll see some people I know join for these hikes and I hope I’ll meet new people, maybe even some that have followed along for years!

So, I will be guiding two hikes per month around Maine May-September, rain or shine, back flies or clear skies, whether it’s just me that shows up or if all 12 slots fill up. These hikes are free to sign up for, are donation-based (if you feel called to throw a couple bucks my way for my time and gas and professional guiding, cool, if not, no worries), all participants will receive a little something at the end of each hike, and of course a good time in the woods with friends (and sometimes that’s just what the heart needs).

Starting with Mt. Megunticook down in Camden Hills State Park on 5/13!

*Please sign up via the EventBrite link. It’s free to sign up, has all of the details, and this lets me know who to wait for at the trailhead!

Some favorites from our Patagonia Argentina trip that we recently wrapped up! 14 women hopped on multiple flights for a lot of hours to fully experience all of the magic and energy of Fitz Roy and El Chalten plus El Calafate and the Perito Moreno glacier. 8 days trekking around and exploring together gave us unforgettable lifelong memories and friendships, photos worthy of framing, belly laughs and smile lines, meals that we’ll be thinking about for years to come, wine for every single cheers, and maybe a *little bit* of sleep deprivation. We got so incredibly lucky with a great weather window: sunshine and blue skies every day, only one day with high winds, mild temps, and lots of rainbows! I’ll be sharing more photos over the next couple weeks, but enjoy these few for now while we reminisce.

I’m ready to do it all over again 🏔️🏔️
