How cool is this!
My son just told me to plan a trip to Alaska for the two of us next summer. He wants to go fishing and I want to see bears. All those fishing trips I took him on when his Dad couldn't has really paid off all these years. Love that boy!

Enjoy some armchair travel today, my friends. I witnessed a mini version of this one year traveling in Monterey Bay and Carmel, Calif. It was a sight to behold. When travel opens up, I'd like to visit again.

A fitting reminder for Patriotism this Dec 7th.

Interment aboard the USS Arizona in Pearl Harbor results in Eternal Peace for a select few Navy Veterans that served on the Arizona and survived the attack by the Japanese.

I have been in love with the West ever since my very 1st "Real Vacation" (when you don't go home and visit family)! I went to Yellowstone, Grand Tetons and Rocky Mountain National Parks. It was love at 1st sight and I have been to many more since then. If you feel the same way, you might like to see some of what it takes to manage them.

Portland, Oregon one clear Spring morning. When you cruise down the Columbia River you'll visit Portland.

Friday morning saw almost as many photographers out at the Portland waterfront as there were open cherry blossoms. And for a good reason! These beautiful blossoms and a pretty pink sunrise make for a morning scene that only occurs about once each year. I'm glad I fought through a cold and a long week to make it here to catch this light and these blossoms! Thanks so much again for looking!
