When in Colorado, don’t underestimate Colorado Springs! So much to see and do there and way less traffic to get there. Pikes Peak, where “America the Beautiful” was written and inspired, gives life to “spacious skies” and “purple mountains majesty”. 🏔️

Headed to Colorado any time soon? If you’re headed up the beautiful I70, do not pass by Idaho Springs. It’s worth the stop to visit the town where the first gold was discovered in Colorado in the 1800s. But don’t stop for gold, stop for PIZZA at Beau Jo’s Pizza, depicting the old mining town while serving the best pizza in the state. Not to mention, you get “dessert” for free….a big bottle of honey on the table to put on your crust after you eat your Pizza.
