The Barcelona airport terminal one is relatively new and it is massive. The crowds here are as heavy as I have ever seen with lines out to the taxi cab area so if you’re flying in and out of Barcelona, Spain, give yourselves probably four hours to go through everything security is very thorough with at least two passport checks to get once you check through baggage to get to the gates the air traffic today is complicated by the fact that this is the hometown for the Spain World Cup champions. The airport is prepared for huge crowds, probably among the busiest in Europe now with all of the Major airlines from all over the world coming in here so be prepared for long lines and For extremely thorough security check. at least three Passport # checks once you get through the main security gate all the way out to the gates for your flights so they are going overboard with Passport # checks at various points. Very thorough but their attitude as they process thousands of passengers is really impressive very friendly and outgoing and what to help at every stage so enjoy Barcelona if you come through here, but give yourself plenty of time

This is the palace in Seville and is still a favor of the King and Queen of Spain and it is gorgeous old lots of art and magnificent planting all kinds of beautiful trees and plants and not that large just impressive. Also reported that this was the favorite palace in Europe for Jacque Kennedy there is a couple of photos showing Jacque and attending a wedding as one of the bridesmaids for probably a princess at that time. I couldn’t quite figure that photo out but it did mention that she came here frequently when John Kennedy was president that this was her favorite place in Europe to come for a vacation so it is a beautiful small, but beautiful palace in Seville and southern Spain

This is an example of the artwork that is all over the park of Spain and really attest to the artistic ability of the Spanish people over history very impressive. Seville is in the south Central part and actually was the port area from which Columbus sailed to the west. It is recorded that he actually lived and worked here in Seville and prepared for the journey to the Americas, and although he didn’t sail from Seville, this was their Assembly point because it was a big city of booming Commercial city and from here went about 100 miles south to the coastal town of Huelva from which he sailed to go to the Americas so a lot of history he is buried here in the big cathedral which we won’t have a chance to see as we’re told it’s closed today, but this is a city wreaking and beautiful Spanish history, including art history

This was taken in the area of what they call the park of Spain and was actually built as a tribute to the world in 1929 beautiful structure and huge and in size stretching over probably hundreds of acres and ride in the heart of Seville. Seville itself is very rich in history, especially going back to the Roman Empire that came into this part of Europe and the first second third century so a lot of old history here churches are beautiful and these gardens and I’m at the palace right now, which is still a magnificent facility not terribly large, but this is where the king and queen of Spain come for their vacation and of course, they closed the palace when they’re here otherwise you can wander through with no charge see the artwork and all the plants in the gardens to gorgeous area

This is a picture of the CA’s Spain port, which was the main port that would bring commercial items into the southern part of Spain and was a big part of the Roman Development of South Spain, all the way up and including the city of Seville, which is about a 2 Hour Dr. to the north Seville itself is magnificent with huge buildings and Open parks and lots of trees and yet it’s quite quite warm here in the summer like today which is almost 100° so you have cactus and you have palm trees and you have azaleas and all kind of Boinville plants and just a very very attractive area is starting with the port of Cadiz and then going inland about 70 miles to Seville and South Central Spain, a beautiful area

This is old town Seville in South Central Spain, and is a very old Roman city, and the one picture of the palace, which was the Royal Palace at one time and it still uses a vacation palace for the King and Queen when they come to Seville, but the old town is so typical of European old town was very, very narrow streets, little tiny walkways. Reminds me a great deal of Lisbon. Just missing the trolley cars coming up to narrow streets, but this is quite old a beautiful old city. Reminds me also a lot of the Arizona where you have the palm trees and cactus and still you have this heavy greenery due to the fact they get quite a bit of rain coming off the south Atlantic so it’s a very unusual old beautiful artsy type of city and community so I strongly recommend put this on your Spain travel plans again this is Seville in South Central Spain, a beautiful place with lots of history, but beautiful plants and parks

The port of Cadiz in south western Spain is the main port for access into the southern tip of Spain. We are almost to the very southern tip, which is Gibraltar. We will go through the straight of Gibraltar later on this evening, so hopefully we will be able to view the rock, but it depends on what time we actually go through there, but it’ll be interesting to see one of the narrow streets in the entire world, and now occupied by the British, although it is part of the country of Spain
