In August 1998, I embarked upon an incredible, life-changing journey - El Camino de Santiago - a pilgrimage route ending in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. After five weeks, I had walked 500-miles across the French Pyrenees, through the vineyards of the Rioja region and into the stunningly green landscape of Galicia. Though the origin of the word is somewhat unclear, the meaning is widely accepted as "Onward" or "Go Beyond."

Of everything we book, this is the trip we get the most questions about. Fair, because fewer people have stayed here than climb Everest in a season.

White Desert operates the only luxury camps on the Antarctic continent. You board a private jet in Cape Town, land on a blue-ice runway about five hours later, and check into a camp of just a handful of heated pods with a private chef.

The days are unlike anything else we plan. Ice tunnels, gentle summits, ch*****ne picnics on the ice, and the option to visit a colony of thousands of emperor penguins. Some guests even continue on to the South Pole itself.

Visiting the Argentina side of Iguazú Falls is something I will never forget. We were among the first to enter Iguazú National Park and took the first train to Devil's Throat (ask me how to make this happen for you!) Slowly the morning fog lifted from the river and we were treated to one of the most spectacular, awe-inspiring sights I've ever witnessed...with the powerful rush of the falls sending the mist high in the air. These videos and pictures do not do justice to the experience nor do I have the words to properly convey how moving it was. And to be there with no crowds...it was emotional.

From there, we explored the rest of the park under sunshine and rainbows. Experience of a lifetime... put it on your list.

What's the best way to see the Scottish Highlands? We'd argue it's from a five-star hotel that happens to move. You unpack once, and Scotland comes to you.

Belmond’s Royal Scotsman train winds past lochs, glens, and castle ruins, and the open-air deck at the back might just be the best seat in the country.

A short flight from Buenos Aires brings you to Iguazu in Misiones, Argentina, a small finger of land in between Paraguay and Brazil. Our first day we crossed the border into Brazil (don't forget your visa and passport!) to Iguaçu National Park. Our first sight of the Falls was from the Waterfalls Trail which offers panoramic views of this magnificent site, one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World. Standing on the platform across from the Devil's Throat, we were completely soaked. Worth it. Sound on for the videos.
