The past few days have taken us through some of Ireland’s most beautiful countryside, with wonderful hotels, fascinating tours, and plenty of special moments along the way.

We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings of Lough Erne Resort with a memorable golf course and spa before continuing west toward Galway. One of our highlights was visiting beautiful Kylemore Abbey, set against the mountains and lakes of Connemara—truly one of Ireland’s most picturesque settings.

Our home in Galway was the magnificent Glenlo Abbey Hotel & Estate, where the historic setting and warm Irish hospitality made our stay especially memorable. We explored colorful Galway on a walking tour and experienced the excitement of the Galway International Oyster Festival. Of course, we sampled fresh oysters, Irish smoked salmon, ch*****ne, Guinness, and plenty of other local specialties while enjoying the lively streets around Quay Street.

From Galway, our journey continued through the dramatic scenery of Ireland’s west coast, including the unforgettable Cliffs of Moher, before arriving at the charming Old Ground Hotel in Ennis.

As always, Tauck has added its special touch with thoughtful surprises and memorable experiences along the way. But one of the very best parts of this journey has been the fellowship within our group. We have laughed, learned, explored, shared wonderful meals, and made memories together that will last long after we return home.

Ireland is certainly beautiful—but experiencing it with such a terrific group makes it even more special! ☘️💚

The second part of our Ireland adventure took us to beautiful Belfast, the breathtaking Giant’s Causeway, and historic Derry.

From Belfast’s fascinating history and lively atmosphere to the dramatic coastline and incredible rock formations at Giant’s Causeway, every stop offered something memorable. Walking along the walls of Derry and learning more about the city’s remarkable past was another highlight of our journey.

But what has made this trip truly special is the wonderful group of people sharing it with me. We have laughed, learned, explored, and made so many great memories together. I couldn’t ask for a better group—or a better way to experience this beautiful part of Ireland! ☘️🇮🇪

What a wonderful start to our Best of Ireland journey with Tauck🇮🇪

Our group enjoyed a fantastic stay at the beautiful Fitzwilliam Hotel, perfectly located in the heart of Dublin. We explored lively Grafton Street, strolled through lovely St. Stephen’s Green, and experienced the iconic Guinness Storehouse—complete with a pint and incredible views of the city from the Gravity Bar! 🍺

From Dublin’s warm hospitality and rich history to its music, charming streets, and friendly people, it has been a memorable beginning to our Irish adventure. And there is still so much more to come!

Our Upper Mississippi River journey with American Cruise Lines came to a wonderful conclusion with visits to Hannibal and St. Louis, Missouri.

In Hannibal, we stepped into the world of Mark Twain while visiting the boyhood home of Samuel Clemens. Walking through the town and seeing the places that inspired characters and stories such as Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn brought American literary history to life.

Our final stop was St. Louis, where we explored The Hill with local friends , the city’s famous Italian neighborhood, known for its wonderful restaurants, bakeries and rich heritage. We also visited the iconic Gateway Arch and rode to the top for incredible views of St. Louis and the Mississippi River before spending time downtown.

From the scenic river bluffs and charming towns to the fascinating history found along the way, this cruise gave us a wonderful look at the heart of America. It was a memorable journey aboard the American Melody—and a beautiful way to experience the Upper Mississippi River from St. Paul to St. Louis.
