It Takes a Village

Woodstock Community Village is designed to bring our neighbors together in a fun and healthy way. We have secured rights to purchase premium land in walking distance to Downtown along I-575 and Town Lake Blvd. We have removed all residential units from our design plan and increased our Grand Lawn size to almost double the size of the Stone Mountain lawn. Our Preliminary Master Site Plan was reviewed by the City Manager and Director of Community Development. We will post the Final Plan after the feedback is received and applied. November 2017 Update

Thanks to all of the Ambassadors for your time Thursday, it was great to have everyone together. Our next meeting for this group will be announced soon.
Our next steps for WCV are:

1 File Land disturbance permit in December
2 Finalize Masterplan in December (we are now over 20% larger)
3 Install on site Temporary office and Showroom as soon as possible

The traffic study and parking plans will be outlined in the permits and we will also post. We appreciate the support and feedback as we prepare to install Woodstock Community Village
We will create a Spring and Summer outdoor experience and then we will transition into Fall and Winter Wonderland. We are carefully designing our Ice Skating Rink in the section of the lagoon that will be outlined for our children’s swim area. We are also utilizing community fire pit placements for year-round outdoor enjoyment.

WCV Update

We are humbled by the outpouring of support for Woodstock Community Village. We have decided to enlarge the site based on your feedback. Our new site plan will be posted and presented upon completion. We are full steam ahead with permits leading to construction. We will host two very important upcoming meetings prior to land clearance.

1- Ambassadors meeting for everyone that wants to be involved within the next two weeks (information will be posted) Send us an email if you are interested
2- Public meeting within 30 days presented by all of our business’s and partners
(information will be posted)

With the additional property, we are adding the following offerings to our plans:
A Larger Lagoon and beach area
B Beer garden and swim up bar
C Pump Track to go with the Velodrome
D Larger walking and bike trails
E Ponds, Gardens and Greenspace
F Additional Parking

Attached is the preliminary land plan minus the parking from our team and our list of adjustments that you will see prior to our final masterplan. We are in discussions for additional land as highlighted that we will post the final masterplan when complete. Adjustments
1- Carousel relocated to playground area and insert Free Flite Bikes Showroom on the corner acre.
2- Extend the beach area 360 degrees around the Lagoon
3- Relocate the ampitheater lawn closer towards the front
4- Include condominiums above the retail/restaurant area
5- Keep the roads along the perimeter towards parking maximizing pedestrian use and safety
6- Relocate the Grand Lawn to the new land along side the Lagoon.

Designers Sketch

As we go from schematic draft- to our designers sketch- to our final engineered site plan we wanted to keep all of our supporters updated. The ability to include the community throughout the process remains our goal. Due to various usage issues we will only develop the south side of Hwy 92. Our plans are attached.

Exhibit B is our completed plan from Kennesaw that is being adjusted to our new location in Woodstock.

Meeting last Thursday

We want to thank everyone for coming out last Thursday to discuss Woodstock Community Village. There were great questions raised, fantastic interaction and a very strong showing of support.
We are in the process of creating a monthly newsletter to communicate to everyone important information on a consistent basis. Our first copy will be this July as we outline the project layout and timing, the individual operating partners, LEED certification update and community involvement. We are officially hosting a contest for the newsletter.

Meeting updates

Our Ambassador meeting had to change due to space availability from June 8th to June 7th at the same time and same location. It is in Building A at First Baptist of Woodstock off of Neese Rd at 7-8:30pm. We look forward to sharing our information with the public at our town hall meeting June 15th. We are humbled and honored at the community support we have received for installing and operating Woodstock Community Village. We are finalizing our hotel partner and our food and beverage partner that will offer world class accommodations as well as an unmatched culinary experience.
